Unwind and let your stress melt away in the warm glow of the candlelit studio. This class uses props of all kinds to lovingly support the body during deep, healing stretches to specific areas, such as the hips, pelvis and spine. It is not unusual to hold supported poses for as long as 10 minutes, allowing muscles to relax while easing tension in the body. Breath work, meditation and deep relaxation are part of this restorative practice under the flicker of candles.
This class is appropriate for students of all levels. Those new to yoga or experiencing pain and physical limitations will especially benefit from this practice.
