Teacher Spotlight: Tobie Hall

Please join us in welcoming a sensitive, loving, talented and challenging instructor – Tobie Hall.

Tobie is a happy person – you can feel it the moment you meet her. She credits her love of movement and the outdoors to her mom who, at the age of 78, remains physically fit and an avid walker. In the framework of the Yin/Yang dance of life, Tobie’s active lifestyle, busy personal life (husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 rabbits!) and chockfull professional life as a massage therapist of 26 years, Pilates instructor (and former studio owner) and yoga teacher finds its balance through Yoga.

Tobie lives her life focused on gratitude, and this she credits to her 23-year-old daughter, Georgia. Named after one of Tobie’s favorite artists, Georgia O’Keefe, Tobie’s daughter has Cystic Fibrosis. Today Georgia enjoys a full life, but after 3 narrow escapes from death, Georgia has taught Tobie to treasure every moment of life.

Yoga has led Tobie along a spiritual path, something that comes easily to this natural healer. Her first Yoga class brought Tobie to tears. What she experienced through Yoga’s mindful movement and inward focus was a release of years and layers of bound up emotions. Through her yoga practice Tobie has crossed the threshold from emotional release to joy. It is this joy and contentment with life that Tobie shares with her students.
